HIGHLAND CLINICAL RESEARCH FACILITY

Academic Research Post - General Practitioner
Fixed Term (six months) 0.1 WTE weekly
Contract for services payment – GP session locum rate

Applications are invited for this new role within the UHI Executive Office, located in Highland Clinical Research Facility, Centre for Health Sciences, Inverness.

The initial focus of the post is to support and oversee a ‘proof of concept’ informatics study which aims to create an anonymised research data base.

Applicants should have worked in general practice, have MBChB or equivalent and higher degree or qualification; evidence of academic research experience; knowledge and experience of research evaluation and methodology; knowledge or experience of clinical informatics would be helpful

Trials Assistant x 2 (part time)

£16,820 to £20,688 pa pro rata

The trials assistant will be responsible for carrying out clinical evaluations of Lifescan products and systems, within the Lifescan Scotland Ltd clinical laboratories at the HCRF, Centre for Health Science. The post will involve direct contact with NHS highland diabetic patients. The day to day duties will range from recruiting patients, planning clinical studies, technical support at clinical study visits, maintenance/QC of equipment, electronic data entry to generation of study progress reports.
