Lipids, Diabetes and Blood Vessels Symposium

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
This symposium was hosted by the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) and covered the range of disciplines related to diabetes and cardiovascular disease. These include free radical biology, inflammation, lipidomics and clinical research. The meeting also provided us with an opportunity to celebrate the recent award of title to UHI, which makes us Scotland’s newest university.
VENUE
The symposium was held in the Centre for Health Science, Inverness.
PROGRAMME
GETTING HERE
Inverness has good road, bus, rail and air transport links. The Centre for Health Science is located in Inverness just off the A9. The railway and bus stations are situated in the city centre whilst Inverness Airport is approximately 10 miles east of the city.
