LifeScan (Scotland) Ltd.

LifeScan (Scotland) Ltd is based in Inverness adjacent to the Raigmore Campus. Some 1500 employees are employed there and around 200 of these are involved in research and development. The company is a market leader in the development and manufacture of blood glucose monitoring systems for diabetes.

LifeScan (Scotland) located a team to the second floor of Phase 3, the Highland Diabetes Institute.  The department is called LifeScan Diabetes Research Instiitute and will incorporate LifeScan's business incubator, responsible for generating New Platforms and driving future growth.

This will provide opportunities for interaction between LifeScan, a company with expertise in glucose monitoring, and its clinical and scientific partners in the HDI (NHS Highland and UHI) who have expertise in various affects of diabetes.
