LifeScan Scotland Ltd (a Johnson & Johnson company) is a market leader in the development and manufacture of blood glucose monitoring systems for diabetes. 

LifeScan have located the LifeScan Diabetes Research Institute in the Highland Diabetes Institute.  The department incorporates LifeScan's business incubator and a team of researchers responsible for generating new platforms and driving future growth.
