The University of Stirling is delighted to announce the forthcoming lecture by Nicola Sturgeon MSP, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Health & Wellbeing.  The Cabinet Secretary will speak on the subject of Education for Better Health, Better Care, as part of the University of Stirling’s 40th Anniversary celebrations.

Prior to the lecture, there will be an opportunity to hear about the University of Stirling’s research, particularly in the Highlands and Islands, in the fields of health and wellbeing (including patient-centred dementia services and cancer care), the environment, sport and other subjects.


PROGRAMME

2.30 – 4.30pm              

Open forum, hosted by the  Deputy Principal for Research, with a presentation at 3.30pm.

5.00 – 6.00pm              

Welcome by the Principal of the University, Professor Christine Hallett.

Lecture by Nicola Sturgeon MSP.

The event was held on Monday 10 March 2008 in the Highland Campus of the University of Stirling, at the Centre for Health Science, Old Perth Road, Inverness.
