The Highland Diabetes Institute is a unique model bringing together a partnership between a commercial company, academic institution and national health provider:
University of Highlands and Islands Department of Diabetes & Cardiovascular Science
These organisations have significant diabetes expertise to promote high standards of diabetes patient care, teaching, the pursuit of scientific and clinical research and in the development of medical devices. The individual partners operate independently within the Highland Diabetes Institute but by bringing them together under one roof they can benefit from collaborating with one another on topics of mutual interest.
