Multipurpose Room

The Multipurpose Room is located on the first floor of the Centre for Health Science and, as its name suggests, can be used for a wide range of events including meetings, small lectures, tea / coffee breaks, lunches, small exhibitions and receptions.

The outer wall of this room is all window and looks out over local parkland. There is a large retractable folding door which can be opened to accomodate larger numbers and take advantage of the breakout area outside.

Videoconferencing is also available in this room.  The kit is connected by 3 ISDN lines (6 channels) and by broadband connection. Data solution box is also available what enables you to stream voice and picture from the room and in the same time presentation from a PC or laptop to your remote audience.

There is a PC in the room which has all the necessary software including Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and Internet connection.

The Multipurpose Room is often used along with the Auditorium or Lecture Theatre to provide a space to serve catering for conferences and symposia.

Adjacent to the Multipurpose Room is a small kitchen which is available for the use of external caterers, if required.
