Men's Health conference

The conference was aimed at raising awareness of the health of men on the edge of society. One of the speakers will be Dr Richard Stone, a London GP who sat on the panel of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry. He will talk about his experiences treating ethnic minorities in the capital. Inverness is changing and we have a large ethnic minority, compared with several years ago. With ethnic minorities, the major issue is language. It is not worth going to a doctor if you can't communicate. It is extremely important for any society to look after the most vulnerable members of that society.
