Phase 2 & 3 Construction

Phase 2

The construction of Phase 2 started in January 2007 and is due to be completed Summer 2008. The size of Phase 2 is 2,946m² (31,702 sq ft).

Phase 2 of the Centre for Health Science will contain:

   -Access Dental (incl. 8 public NHS dental chairs)
   -Dental Institute (incl. 12 public NHS dental chairs)
   -Clinical Skills Centre
   -Centre for Rural Health
   -NHS Highland R&D Office
   -Centre Management Suite
   -Business Incubator Companies

Phase 3

Phase 3 construction will be starting soon. It is due to complete in August 2008. The size of Phases 3 is 2,399m² (25,815 sq ft).

Phase 3 of the Centre for Health Science will become the Highland Diabetes Institute. It will contain:

   -NHS Diabetes Centre
   -UHI Department of Diabetes
   -Lifescan (Scotland) R&D
   -Clinical Research Facility
