Centre for Health Science Company
The company's main aim is to support, encourage and promote the activities of the stakeholders of the Centre for Health Science, to create a centre for excellence in healthcare and biotechnology through the provision of research, education, patient care, training and business development.
In addition to this, the company is responsible for both raising awareness of the work being undertaken in the fields of health science and healthcare and identifying and developing opportunities for further growth including inward investment, collaboration and commercialisation on a local, national and international scale.
The Centre for Health Science Company was incorporated in November 2007 and is a company limited by guarantee, operating on a not-for-pofit-basis. Essentially, it was set up by Highlands and Islands Enterprise to manage the high profile project and to encourage the optimum return through achieving the objectives and benefits envisaged from the creation of the Centre.
